About us 

Brighter Days Community began, after much discussion around how we can better utilise our existing knowledge, recourses and experience and share our love of helping people and being there for more family’s and working together as a community to ensure each and every person feels included, supported and valued.

Rachel is a kind, caring and energetic go getter support worker who has worked in the disability employment support industry in both Queensland and NSW for over 11 years, thoroughly enjoying watching clients grow and develop over the years and job matching to ensure long term employment. Rachel stepped into a support worker position after completing a certificate IV in Community Services and a Mental Health degree. Working as a support worker is extremely rewarding, being able to utilise existing skills and knowledge as well as continuing to lean and expand knowledge to continue to improve and benefit participants lives. 

Roger, has a great sense of humour, easy to get along with and is very kind and would do anything for anyone. Previously working in the retail space for over 25, working with customers, meeting their daily needs, providing high quality customer service and maintaining customer relationships Roger was offered an opportunity to take on Support work part time and found his new passion and drive! Throughout Roger's time as a support worker he was able to assist participants become confident within the community, join sport groups, play sport and try activities they did not feel they would be able to. Not only were goals being reached and achieved the appreciation that came from the participants cannot be expressed.  

Together we created Brighter Days Community, a community where we can both continue to learn and grow together as well as assisting our local community to reach and achieve their goals.
